This review is for the LMB's Summer Concert Series. From artsincorporated.org: "Performances are held Sunday evenings in July and August at 7:00 p.m. at the John Shildneck Memorial Bandshell in Antelope Park, Lincoln, Nebraska. Admission is FREE. The series features a variety of themes to suit all musical tastes." The bike trail runs through Antelope Park at both ends, so this is a fun summer event to bike to.
If you drive, there is some lot parking available, but it fills up fast & you may have to park on the grass. Make sure to bring a blanket (or lawn chairs), sunglasses, a stroller if you have young kids, and lots of bug spray. The band plays a lot of music popular with the older crowd, so you'll see lots of grandparents tapping their feet. If the kids get bored, there's a huge playground at this park and lots of space to run around. There are park restrooms available, but I'd recommend going to the bathroom before you leave the house.
