Don't waste your money! The entire thing only lasted 25 minutes, at least half of which was taken up listening to lame videos that didn't add to the experience. The puzzles were not clever, didn't encourage teamwork, and the solutions were unsatisfying. To top it all off, the staff were grumpy and at least one of them downright rude. UPDATE: 5-Wits called me the day after this review and then, unprompted, refunded the entire amount. So someone is paying attention over there, and hopefully will address some of the underlying issues!

My friends and I did "Drago's Castle" and "Tomb" on 6/13/22. The production value on these rooms is very high, and there's some impressive tech happening with a lot of the puzzles, as well as an immersive story. It could be fun for parties with young children. For escape room enthusiasts, I might recommend giving it a pass and doing an actual escape room.

In the first room of Drago's Castle, one of the puzzles had not been reset from the last group, so was somewhat broken/frustrating. The automated voice system for these rooms is also rather annoying and overly frequent. What's worse, due to the nature of the 3-room setup for each "adventure" requiring a minimum time in each room so that the facility can shuffle multiple groups through, there were two puzzles in "Tomb" that we had to repeatedly complete several times, so much that we thought the mechanism was broken.

When we asked the staff later, it turns out that we completed the puzzle TOO quickly and so had to do them over and over again -- if we had done it slower, we would only have had to do it once. The equipment needed for the final puzzle in Tomb was also somewhat not working, making it impossible for us to complete despite knowing how it should work.

Excellent service team and fun adventure! Our group was kids 12 - 13, most kids loved all the adventures. One girl with sound sensitivity could handle the Castle & Spy, but the Tomb was too much for her.

Having my daughter's birthday party here was the best decision. The children had a blast. I definitely recommend a group party here for any age.

Fun and challenging even for just adults without any kids / teens ~ ends up being a good workout! We did the space themed adventure and it was supposedly the hardest one -- we would agree since with just the two of us we really had to work hard to keep up

Very fun experience! My boys are teenagers and they had a great time. Puzzles were challenging but not too hard.

This is more a warning for anyone that still wants to have their coat after visiting this establishment. My child was invited to a birthday party. When we arrived, the birthday child and their parents were not yet there. Instead, we were greeted by a 5 Wits employee (I believe he was the manager) that asked if we were there for the birthday party.

He asked my child for her coat and the birthday gift. He did not give my child an option to keep her coat or even let her parent hold it. He asked for it and took it. I just assumed that it would be stored in the birthday room. When I arrived to pick her up from the party, her coat was nowhere to be found. There was no apology. They just said that they would call the party hosts if it were found and threw a child out in 20 degree weather!

I later found out from my older child that 5 Wits has lockers. This was not an option given to my child, me, or even the party hosts. Yet, they took the time out to tell the hosts that there was only one other group scheduled around the same time as the party. When I called to inquire if my child's coat was returned or found, the manager said no. He was quick to say that it was accidentally taken and that nothing like this has ever happened.

I asked if he could contact the only other group that was there at the same time to ask if a coat was "accidentally taken." He said that he would and would call me regardless of what he found. 5 Wits never called and it's been over a month since I last spoke with Scott. The party hosts called them another time, and they said that no coat was ever found.

I wouldn't be irritated with 5 Wits if my child carelessly left her coat, BUT 5 WITS took it from her. They gave her NO other options to store her coat. 5 WITS, you should admit that you were wrong and that my child's coat was stolen.hopefully our gift to the birthday kid wasn't "accidentally taken" also.

Our family group ranging from kids ages 9-15 and middle aged adults alike had a blast at 5 Wits. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Immersive experience with great sets, animatronics and story. Really enjoyed the puzzles, which created opportunities for both individual problem-solving and team based collaboration. If you are looking for a private, safe, and engaging group activity that is fun for the whole family, 5 Wits is the place to be!

Worth every penny. We rented the room for the "tomb" adventure and it was so much fun. There were three rooms and a lot of action and suspenseful changes between puzzles.like the lights flashing on and off and the ceiling dropping. The way the walls light up and turned on different special effects was incredibly engaging and we loved coming out and checking the screen for our score. Highly recommend- we'll be back for another round!

5 wits exceeded all our expectations for my (now 10 year old) daughter's birthday party. First, Scott made the planning effortless and easy and was very patient and helpful despite my numerous calls and questions. Then, he helped make the two adventures challenging and enjoyable and also designed a third adventure where the party goers had to unlock the code to find their goodie bags. It took some time! So, the planning and the execution were excellent. Everyone had fun and we will definitely be back! Thanks Scott and 5 wits!

AMAZING SERVICE & LOTS OF FUN! Coming from Rochester, my wife and I were bored and really wanted to find something fun to do while our son was with his babysitter. We drove a bit over an hour to Buffalo to visit my brother in law and decided to visit '5 Wits' inside the mall. We got there pretty late, it was 8:30PM and they closed mall hours which was at 9:30PM I felt bad for showing up so late, and figured if we had time to play one quick game then we would be happy.

Upon entering we were greeted quickly by a young lady who was so friendly and very accommodating to us. She offered for us to do all three of their rooms for a discounted rate and wouldn't mind at all if they had to stay past closing for us! That was really nice of her when usually the younger crowd working inside the malls race out of their doors at 9:29PM.

We decided to purchase the three rooms, do two of them so that we didn't stay past close, and save the other room for another visit. Once we went inside to start the game we were greeted by a very fun gentlemen who made us laugh and feel right at home. He was very informative and really seemed like he loved his job which just made our experience a wonderful one.

We will most definitely be back in the future and highly recommended coming to enjoy 5 Wits! It's very similar to escape rooms. The one main difference I can tell you is that you don't always make it out of an escape room. With 5 Wits you will always make it out even if they have to push you along when you can't figure a clue out. I thought it was a great concept and my wife and I had a lot of fun!

My husband and I came here this week for a date night, and had an awesome time. It was definitely the best escape room experience we have had so far. We decided to splurge and get all three experiences for $10 more than just the one experience. Originally we thought you had to do all three at once, but your admission tokens for each experience never expire, and you can use them at anytime.

That is what prompted us to buy the three experiences. It was a little pricey up front at around $70 for both of us, but it was a much better value in the long run. We did the medieval castle, and are looking forward to doing the space and mummy tomb experiences. It wasn't busy when we were there, so it was just the two of us. We had a fantastic time, but I feel like 4-5 people would be the optimal group size. Definitely a fun outing, and we can't wait to go back!

I enjoyed the rooms. The tasks and clues were fun to figure out with friends. The price wasn't bad for 3 rooms was about $35/person. The employees were nice and friendly. I notice and didn't enjoy that it was timed. If you took too long for a task it kind of moved you along if there was a another party coming behind you. I didn't appreciate it but I get it.

It's really cool. Josh was really helpful & told us about everything without making us feel like he was pitching it too hard. we just did the Dragon room, but we have tickets for the Egyptian room & the Space room. can't wait to go back.

Great effects. Lots of problem-solving. I found it difficult to problem solve effectively with others, as we don't think alike. also did not like the loud speakers constantly piping in and breaking my concentration. It's worth trying out to see if you like it, but I wasn't a huge fan.

I'd prefer five witches. Or rather, Halloween 20somethings dressed as witches. Or barely dressed as witches. But this will have to do. I was honoured and privileged to be invited to the Yelp event here which was only the 3rd time I had been to one of these types of places. It's actually more enjoyable when you don't come with a very large group because it makes the challenges more challenging and gives everybody a good chance at participation. Employees are mostly really nice although a few of them do you have attitude problems. A couple of the guys who actually invented the rooms and are always leaving Easter eggs, as they call them, are a credit to the franchise and this location in particular.

We went with the group, and had a good time. Furthermore, we got the best score. I'm not bragging, I'm just sayin. Staff was awesome. Adventures were fun. Better than an escape room. Will definitely do it again. I highly recommend it!

Imagine a digital escape room, that's 5 Wits. There are three theme rooms to choose from, where some of the puzzles change but I was told that the themes never will. There's a space room (enjoyed by all but especially with sci-fi fans), a dragon room (castle/medieval theme), and tomb (Indiana Jones). Each room takes about 25 minutes and you get a score for each room.

Some rooms even have secrets that get you bonus points. Rooms accommodate 4-10 people, it would be difficult to complete some of the puzzles without at least 4 people. Kids- all the rooms are kid-friendly, but I suggest have at least one adult to help guide them through some of the challenges. Price: $20 for 1 room, $25 for 2 rooms, or $30 for all 3.

Even though the rooms are interactive and take time to complete, the price is steep in my opinion, not sure if they offer a group discount but they do offer birthday parties. I've been to this location twice but not sure how many times I'll come back since the rooms won't change much. I would be willing to come back if it was with friends who had never been, or another location with different themes, but the price is too steep to come here regularly.

Loved it! Easily one of my favorite esc rooms to date (I've been to at least.6-8?) Pros + High tech: they spared no expense. High tech graphics, lighting, air and sound added to the experience. + Puzzles: I liked how some rooms led to others in different and innovative ways. Lets just say to expect the unexpected. + Variety: Dragos castle is a great room for families.

It had an olden fairytale story theme but was creative nonetheless. I would say that this would be great for groups of 5-7. Too small a group and you don't have enough brainpower. Too large a group and you have way too many opinions. I would def come back if they develop more rooms.

If you're looking for a fun activity that's different than your usual plans you have to check this out. They have 3 different adventure rooms where you solve puzzles and it's very interactive. It's like an escape room but a little more adventurous. I'd definitely recommend doing all three rooms
