Rockville Climbing Center is central New Jersey's premier indoor rock climbing facility. We give the general public an opportunity to try this exciting sport in a safe, controlled environment. With 19 auto-belays, experiencing rock climbing has never been easier! Rockville has facilities that are perfect for birthday parties and special events. All climbers under 18 must have waivers signed by their parent or guardian before climbing. The easiest way to start climbing at Rockville is to use our auto-belay system which is a system that controls the safety ropes for adults and children alike.

Classes Report

Introducing the Intro to Technique Class with our newest team member Chris Picard. This technique class will introduce each climber to proper foot placement, balance and weight transfer, basic body positioning, as well as a library of movement strategies. This two-session course will be held the first and second Tuesday of EVERY month 6:30-8:30pm.

This place offers an excellent climbing experience and community. There's a decent bouldering cave, a lead cave, a slab wall, tons of autos, and plenty of top ropes. Some say the grades are "stiff, " but I like that they're reflective of outdoor grades

The staff are wonderful. There are a lot of Auto belay systems which is very helpful if you're there solo. Bouldering area is a bit small. A number of routes aren't labelled with difficulty numbers

All three of the kids (age 4, 11, and 14) loved the climbing center. 14yo and up can attach/detach themselves from the pulley systems, so parents should plan to be readily available for the younger kids. The 4 year old got about halfway up the wall, max, but really loved climbing just high enough to rappel back down. Plenty of different skill level climbs available.

Great workout and all 3 kids were really feeling it later in the day. They were all pretty tired after about an hour of climbing. The staff was kind and very helpful. Masks were required and hand sanitizer was available throughout. (Dec 2021.)

They have a small bouldering section but their Auto belays make up for it. Their route setting is great and keeps it very interesting too, majority of holds feel clean and their grading is pretty close to outdoor grades (harder than the usual rock gym)

Glad to find a place nearby while we're up for Thanksgiving so the monkey can work out his cabin fever. Cool gym in an old factory, with original brick and steel beams. Very friendly and helpful staff.
