Tim was without a doubt the best value vender of our whole wedding. My husband wanted to hire a live band for our cocktail hour followed by a DJ for later in the evening. This was just not going to happen with our very short planning timeline of 3.5 months and our ever expanding budget. We hired Tim for our entertainment and would not have changed our decision even if we had a longer planning timeline or an endless budget.

He is truly a musician first and DJ second. He sang during the dinner portion of the evening and guests were shocked when they looked over and saw it was him they were listening to rather than a recorded song. He is soooo talented! Our dance floor was full throughout the whole night. He played the perfect diversity of music and always seemed to have the right song for the right moment. Our guests LOVED his live singing and all of our guests raved about him well after the wedding. He created the perfect atmosphere all night.

Tim is the best! He DJed our September wedding. I was amazed by his detailed preparation. I enjoyed meeting with him beforehand, he is such a fun person to talk to. He did such a good job on the wedding day. I loved how he played some live music during dinner. So many of our guests were really impressed by that. & he kept the dance floor hopping all night!

He did a great job keeping the energy flowing & playing all the requests. We got SO MANY compliments about him afterward. I would 10/10 recommend Tim/Dorsey Entertainment to anyone! Thanks again Tim!

We hired Tim Dorsey for our wedding DJ due to past experiences with him at other weddings. We were so happy we went with him! He listened to all of our requests for the ceremony, dinner, and reception. He was so fun, went out into the crowd, and even sang himself! He does the fun game that involves shoes and asking the couples questions and the guests loved it.

Our contract ended at 11 but he offered to stay until midnight for us which we were very thankful! We received many compliments from the guests and would highly recommend this team!

Long story short, our original wedding DJ retired during Covid, but highly recommended Dorsey Entertainment. Luckily, Tim had availability for a last minute booking. All I wanted for our wedding was an amazing DJ and Tim delivered! He followed our playlist, respected our long list of "do not plays, " and lead The Wobble for us! During speeches he caught a bridesmaid mention the song that began our friendship and Tim immediately played it.

We got so many compliments from guests about how he played great music and kept the guests involved. He easily picked up on what songs people wanted to hear and what drew the biggest crowd to the dance floor. Even the venue staff mentioned they have never seen the dance floor so lively! Tim was in continuous contact with us so we felt confident that everything would go off without a hitch.

He's very intuitive and aware of what is going on; example: We had trouble at the head table figuring out the microphones and he was right there to explain it. Point of this review is book Dorsey Entertainment! And his light up shoes were awesome!

If you're looking for your guest to be on the dance floor all night, hire Dorsey Entertainment! Tim engaged with the crowd through singing and teaching dances. Everyone loved it and our guest are still talking about him. From the beginning Tim was super easy to work with. He was helpful in answering any questions we had and he was accommodating to our last minutes changes days before the wedding. We can't say enough good things about him!

Jonah and the team over at Dorsey Entertainment went above and beyond for us at my wedding. Tim was great with explaining everything to me especially to an overwhelmed bride! Highly highly recommend hiring them. The music was the best and there was never an empty dance floor. The best part was Jonah was quick to play a requested song!

Tim from Dorsey Entertainment was fabulous! He provided DJ services and rented us equipment for our ceremony in October. But Tim is not your regular DJ.he is a musician and entertainer. He sings (Piano Man is a must!) and dances like no other.and when I say sing, I mean his voice is truly phenomenal! Tim took the extra time to get to know us and our music preferences prior to our big day.

He also made great suggestions about how to structure our reception timeline based on his previous experiences and the setup of our venue, which was very helpful. Our dance floor was full the entire night and our guests could not stop raving about him. My husband and I highly recommend Tim from Dorsey Entertainment for anyone in the greater Fox Valley Area looking for a fantastic entertainer!

Tim did an AMAZING job at our August 4th wedding! Everyone is still talking about "how awesome" our DJ was! Tim was so easy to work with before and during the event! He kept great communication with us and helped us make all of our "special touches" come to fruition! My wife and I were worried our dance floor would be empty, not many of our guests were big dancers, but Tim engaged the crowd and kept the floor busier than I would have thought possible. Nearly every guest commented that Tim was a fantastic DJ, his energy and enthusiasm were infectious and made our wedding reception a success.
