Marswood Hall and related facilities are owned and operated as an integral part of the ministries of St. Philothea Greek Orthodox Church and are subject to the traditions, dogma and Holy Canons of the Holy Greek Orthodox Faith. We reserve the right to reject any request for the use of any such facilities. In addition, any uses that violate any applicable laws, ordinances, regulations or statutes are expressly prohibited. You can't find a better venue anywhere near Athens besides Marswood Hall. My wife and I were married at Marswood on Labor Day.

I had chosen this venue for a very big and special night for my daughter and our family. But unfortunately I have to say it was not how I planned or how I expected for my family and I to enjoy this special day. I had signed a contract for 250 and I had only counted 208 of my guests the staff was invading my guests space they were harassing my guests and family.
The staff was also threatening to end the party over small things. I do have to say I was very disappointed in the staff and how they were working! They were also not allowing my guests outside the venue. Very pretty venue but very disappointing staff!

I'm really disappointed in how my night went. A lot of friends and family didn't get to go in. The staff was really stressing my family and I out. It was honestly so uncomfortable having the staff harassing us about the party. To be honest the night would've been so much better if the staff would've stayed in their place and just observe the party. My parents paid a lot of money and signed this contract only to be treated poorly. I really don't recommend this venue at ALL!

I do not recommend this venue. Very unprofessional staff. My family and I didn't get to enjoy our day as we planned. The contract that was signed allowed 250 people in the building but not even 200 were allowed in. A lot of family members and friends got locked out by staff members and were told to leave. Also as the event was happening the staff members present were hovering over all the guest, honestly this made a lot of people uncomfortable we were trying to enjoy a big family reunion but unfortunately we didn't. Save your money and time. This place is not worth it.

Barbara gave excellent customer service. The rehearsal was good, excellent customer service during my rehearsal. There was nothing unexpected, Barbara explained everything. My wedding went according to planned. The day of wedding and reception, everything was setup according to Barbara and my agreement. From the time I reserved and until the day of my wedding, Barbara was pleasant and helpful to all of my requests. I would recommend this place to anyone having a special event.
