Clean room and great atmosphere. Service could be better with coffee shop. Morning lady during my stay could have been more cheerful and not rush to get me out of there. I also asked for a panini but she claimed the items were not available but it looked like the items were available on the counter. If it was going to take some time she could have completed it after the one person behind me that wanted just a drip coffee. Not that great of service.

Overall I was not impressed with this casino. We did not stay in the hotel as it was already booked up. I read that smoking was permitted, so I expected it. The building didn't reek of smoke, but it was a bit much with everyone around me lighting up. I used 2 of the restrooms and literally half the sinks, soap dispensers and toilets were out of order.

As for the gaming floor, the machines were pretty spread out so that was nice. There was a lot of empty spaces though, and again at least a third of the machines were out of order or turned off. I was disappointed in the 'non-smoking' section. The machines were all old and primarily reel games. I am aware that the idea of a casino is to make money, but the number of constant losses made it not enjoyable as well. Overall, we will not be returning.

Went there for a weekend. The craps tables were hot and we had a great time until we played poker. The one tall guy that usually runs the room is always super friendly and knowledgeable. He always speaks with us like we are regulars and we travel up there because the room has been one of the best around recently and the atmosphere and dealers were great. we were having a good time until his coworker took over.

She knew absolutely nothing about the game, spent most of the time complaining about her coworker and having to stay late, then shut down the tables early and when someone asked her about how the players felt she told them "I don't care about the players" and "I'm the boss I'll run this room however I want" Well, if that's the attitude the casino supports we will just go somewhere else.

My husband and I have never felt like we weren't wanted as customers but that lady made us feel like we were a bother. Plus, I thought that casinos make money off of players, so why would she chase off money so she can "go home"? All in all we took quite a bit of money there and wanted to just spend it and have a good time

Love this place. I've been here many times, most recently May 6-7, 2022. Wonderful hotel connected to the super fun casino! Has a dog racetrack and sports betting, table games, and lots of slots! Concerts and events are hitting the calendar again. YAY! Casino always has fun evens and promos. Just got my KY Derby tee on Saturday. Nice getaway! REALLY NICE STAFF THROUGHOUT

Overall not a horrible trip, but definitely not a top casino. Stayed 1 night and the hotel room was nice and clean which I would rate it high. The actual casino it self lacked new game options. There seemed to be a limited number of some of the top ones. It was impossible to get a beer with only one stand open. The buffet lacked options. The food it self was good but it was extremely limited and was very disappointing from a price stand point with not many choices. Betting on the dog races was a fun experience again and helped bring this rating up a bit.

It was average. Nothing really stood out here although it definitely wasn't as smokey as other casinos. I'm not sure if they had a better ventilation system or less people were smoking in general. But that was nice. If you join their players club and get a card you get a free $20 credit to play.

Absolutely 5 stars for the generous playtime their slots give. I'm used to playing in a casino where it's hard to catch a bonus. Every machine I played on at Wheeling gave bonuses. Even if the wins were small they came often. I played for 5 hrs Sunday night, and walked away $500 to the good. Decided to press my luck Monday morning for another 5 hrs, and gained $300 more.

All the staff I ran across was polite, and helpful. I didn't eat there so I can't rate the food. Where improvement is needed is the outside grounds. It needs a good bit of TLC. Something as simple as picking up the 100's of cigarettes buds along the entrance path would make a great improvement. The grand escalators upon entering looks dirty and well over used. I'm still giving a 5 stars because I had a great time in the casino, enjoying their loose slots.

Went for a few hours just for something to do. Poker room was closed and they have a small section of table games but they have all of the popular games. Of course they have a ton of slots all from 1c to high roller room. The atmosphere is great, the bar area was very good size, I didn't eat there but the food areas looked good and the bathrooms were very clean. So all in all I'd recommend a trip if you're in the area.

Wheeling Island has amazing promotions. I recently received $150 in free play and a free room at the hotel. The casino was fun with a variety of slot machines and the room was beautiful. Hotel was clean. Staff was gracious answering any questions. Beds were comfortable. Overall excellent experience.

Excellent mix of new games, better than most other nearby casinos. Lots of denominations from quarter and fifty cent to $10-$25 per spin. Ventilation is excellent with very high ceilings. Rooms are comfortable and spacious yet do not offer refrigerator or microwave. I play here extensively and am almost always ahead at some point. Staff is always fast and friendly.
