Curtis Waltermire began entertaining audiences professionally with his unique brand of psychological conjuring back in the mid-1980's in central Illinois. Generally shy and a bit introverted, he found he could win approval from his peers with his talents. He studied acting, speech, and theatre production at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, and later quit college after three years to move to Los Angeles, CA, to pursue a full-time entertainment career.
Curtis one-man public show, "Thinking Out Loud," can be seen each month at Wichita's "LIVE at 215 Performance Theater." He is also known for performing the world's most unique and impossible blindfolded car drive; a stunt which he performed recently for the legendary Indy 500 racing champion Bobby Unser. After the stunt Bobby replied "THAT is the DAMNEDEST thing I've ever seen in my LIFE!"

On November 13, 2021 I went to the Looney Bin Comedy Club to see a comedy show ages 18+ and it impressed me. It made me realize the human mind can do so much! I saw Curtis the mentalist perform only a few steps away from me! Curtis was not only a mentalist but a magician and comedian as well. I gave him the nickname, 3 in 1 shampoo bottle. I liked how he kept the audience involved the whole time throughout the show.
A few steps away from my seat was a small stage and the room was filled with very dim lighting which made me feel welcomed. The first thing my mom did was order food which my generous papa ended up paying for of course. My mom and I shared an order of chips and queso with fries. My grandma Kelly ended up just getting water and my papa ordered a Bloody Mary.
I thought the Bloody Mary looked disgusting but, we all continued chattering until the grand opening of the show. Only a few minutes into the show Curis called me to the stage which made me feel excited because sometimes I crave attention. He told me to use the calculator on my phone to add all the random numbers people in the audience wrote down and it equaled 2,823.
When I showed the audience the number on my calculator Curtis pulled out a notepad with the exact number on my calculator. The audience was just as mind blown as I was and being on stage to witness it made me feel involved. He continued to blow everyone's minds with a variety of tricks. Curtis talked about how some people believe he was crazy but he said it took time to learn everything he knows.
He talked about how the human brain is very powerful and anyone can learn how to build a connection with it. A new word I learned while listening to Curtis is Psychometry which is the ability to discover facts about an event or person by touching inanimate objects associated with them. This performance was very insightful and I'm genuinely glad I got to experience it. I recommend anyone who wants a good night out to visit the Looney Bin Comedy Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

We hired Curtis for a Zoom family birthday party. After doing much searching online for entertainment, we settled, blindly, on Curtis. Well, I can tell you, we did not just "settle". He was really good! There were a few glitches at the beginning, but I sympathize because I had experienced my own glitches on the Zoom platform prior to Curtis joining us! Curtis had no advance information about any of our guests except the names and ages of the two people being celebrated!
He was certain to include the two guests of honor in his act, as requested. He fascinated us with his mentalism, and we are still trying to understand how he so accurately guessed all of the responses given by our guests who were posed questions. The card trick he had us perform in our homes really impressed us! Zoom is certainly not the best platform for someone to perform what Curtis did, but he did it well and certainly made it all believable. Thank you for not disappointing!

Curtis is wonderful magician/mentalist! He gave us a great virtual show during our zoom family reunion. Despite technical difficulties with zoom he managed to fix them and still continue his performance. Our family had a lot of fun and appreciated the long distance bonding time we had over the internet. Thanks Curtis!

We had Curtis for small, virtual event for some of our top customers and he was a huge hit! We worked with him very closely to plan everything out (we had some very specific requests for him) and he was very responsive, respectful of our requests and professional throughout the whole planning. The actual event itself couldn't have gone any better - we are so glad we hired him!
