Original illusions, "classics" of magic, interactive presentation, audience participation and a good time for all is the order for Drawing Room Magic. Mobile Station Performance - Innovative alternative to strolling (or walk around) magic that encourages guests to enjoy magic at their leisure while adding to the elegance, intrigue and festivity of your event. Am well versed in the J.K. Rowling "Harry Potter" stories and weave a illusion show around the character of Professor Snape including "testing" the students of Hogwarts. (Gryffindors somehow seem to get over on Snape). A solo illusion show is included and a final session including teaching students of Hogwarts.
Illusions By Vick performed at the last 3 Harry Potter Movie Premiers as Professor Snape and at various book releases including performing for over 650 attendees as Professor Snape at the Howard County "Muggle Madness" night for the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows".
Other characters include Edgar Allen Poe, a conjurer circa 1900, The Mad Hatter, Venetian Masquerade character, Captain Hook, Willie Wonka, wizard, pirate and con man.

My wife and I hired Vick for our son's 9th birthday party and the performance was fantastic! Wonderful choices for illusion and the rhythm, pace and execution of his art were brilliant. The kids had a lot of fun and I'm still scratching my head how he accomplished some of his magic. Vick showed up on time and was perfect gentleman throughout. I would highly recommend Vick for any child's birthday party, you will be thrilled by his work.

Vick performed as Professor Snape at our twin boys' 8th birthday party. He was amazing to work with, especially in light of the commute required. We were so lucky he agreed to drive well outside of his usual area to perform. His illusions were mesmerizing, and he expertly handled a room full of inquisitive and skeptical kids by getting most of them involved in his performance.
He gave a great message in the end of the performance also, drawing on the themes of inclusion and acceptance from the Harry Potter stories, which the adults present also mentioned as being a highlight. We cannot say enough great things about his professionalism and performance and we would highly recommend him for any event!

AMAZING! Vick, er Professor Snape, performed at my son's 8th birthday party and I cannot recommend him enough. He was beyond entertaining for the children and the adults. He was so amazing with all the kids. My son said he would have given up all his gifts to have Professor Snape come to his birthday party - it really was magical. And the best part - I got a break from entertaining 20 kids! I am so grateful for Vick for making my son's birthday truly one to remember!

Vick, I mean Professor Snape was wonderful. He was so polite and professional, not to mention great with the kids. His show was memorizing and loved by the adults too. We are so happy we found him and would highly recommend to anyone considering him for their next event. He tailored his show for the age group and Harry Potter theme. You will not regret it.

Vick performed at my Bridal shower recently and amazed us all! He was very engaging and enjoyable. Filled the room with wonder, laughter and gasps. Vick provided a great magic show for our Cub Scout pack's Blue-Gold celebration. Amazingly, he did this outside in a park, with Covid restrictions, after work hours, and after having battled Beltway traffic. His show was tailored to scouts, and his magic made even the adults guffaw. He is super easy to work with, and we'll look to bring him back when things get even more normal.

Vick is a wonderful performer. He drew everyone in with his stories and flair for the whimsical. He had everyone on the room, adult and child, mesmerized - especially with his sword trick. Vick was a pleasure to work with leading up to the our event. He answered emails quickly and thoroughly and was incredibly helpful. He was encouraging of my ideas and tailored his performance to make it fit well with our company and event. On the day of the show he arrived early and felt like an old friend. He performed for our evening party and was exceptional.

We hired Vick for our wedding reception! I was thinking of a simple way to entertain older folks, young children, and everyone in-between -- he was the answer! Vick had a wonderful story line and great tricks that kept everyone's attention! We had some guests that are very skeptical of magic tricks, and he still blew them away! I'm so happy we had him!
We ended up starting his show a little late, unfortunately, but he was incredibly patient, set-up, and mingled with a few guests while he waited! He then put on a 45-50 minute show for all of us, and included some guests, my father, and us in the show! I highly recommend him for ANY event -- weddings, birthdays (children AND adult), social events, etc. Thanks, Vick!

Vick preformed at my 7-year-old son's birthday party and I must say the parents were as entertained as the children. He managed to keep 13 kids (10 adults) not only entertained but part of the show. Since the party, I've heard many times that it was one of the best birthday parties ever and we have Vick to thank. We would highly recommend him if you're in the market for a true professional at his craft.

Vick just performed as Professor Snape (from the Harry Potter books) at my daughter's 9th birthday party and it was absolutely wonderful! It was a 45 minute magic act and he included both my daughters (the birthday girl and my younger daughter) into his performance. This was a very nice touch. The best part was that even though he played Snape perfectly, he was able to capture everyone's attention (not just the Harry Potter fans).
We had a very mixed crowd that included kids and adults, some were avid Harry Potter fans and others didn't know one thing about the books or movies. After the party was over, everyone commented how great Vick was and complimented me on finding him. I would highly recommend him!

I hired Illusions by Vick for my husband's 50th Birthday Party and he was amazing! My husband loves magic and he said Vick was the best live magic show he has ever seen. When Vick walked in our door we knew he was the real deal, great outfit, style and personality. The show itself was a lot of fun and interactive. It wasn't your run of the mill tricks.

Illusions By Vick performed at our Cub Scout banquet this year and it was a huge success. This particular event had about 30+ Cub Scout boys, ages 6-11, plus about 20+ siblings, ages 2-14, and their parents. He had the kids (and adults) mystified from the moment he walked in the door. When he began his performance it was amazing to me to watch the kids inch closer and closer to the front - and as the show progressed the crowd seemed to get bigger and bigger as the older kids and adults found their way into the audience.
His attention to individual children was amazing - making so many boys and girls feel like special participants in his act. My own daughter ended up with a rose from Vick - which she still has, dried and in a special box. My son came home telling me that he wants to be a magician when he grows up. High praise. There is no question that I would use Illusions By Vick again and recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dynamic entertainer for their event.

We booked Vick as the entertainer for our daughter's 8th birthday party, and we were excited and pleased by his performance. He offers a variety of packages, and for our party, Vick took on the persona of Professor Snape (from the Harry Potter books) during a 45 minute magic act. Vick will adjust his performance to meet your preference based on the age and interest of the audience.
He can vary the intensity of Snape's nastiness. Given the members of our party, Snape was mildly irritated by the non-Slytherins, but not scary. The magic was captivating and held the interest of both adults and children. Vick's communication during the booking process was excellent and the payment process was clear and easy. Out of character, he is easy-going, friendly with guests, and always professional. An easy recommendation!

Your unique and dignified approach touched me in a way that most magicians don't. The near macabre but lovely delivery of illusion you employ is almost Tim Burton-esque on the surface, but simultaneously filled with so much heart that all of the departed classically trained magicians surely must be looking over your shoulder each time you extract a sense of wonder in the wry smiles of your audience.
