All Around Raleigh DJ is a mobile disc jockey and wedding entertainment firm that has been entertaining the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Cary and surrounding NC areas for many years. We are experts in wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs & bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, corporate functions, private parties, fund raisers, proms, school & college events.My name is Eric X Hodgden and I am the owner and head DJ of the All Around Raleigh DJ Company. I'm originally from Wisconsin. I joined the US Army and moved to North Carolina in 1999 and am a very proud and patriotic American. I was stationed at Ft. Bragg until 2003 when I started my life-long goals of earning a college degree and starting my own business.
I studied at Wake Tech and NC State where I got my degree in Chemical Engineering. Those four years in the military and next 4+ in school taught me a lot about commitment and values. While at NCSU, I pulled out all of my savings and began the All Around Raleigh DJ Company. I had DJ'ed part-time in the past and discovered the enjoyment and the empowerment I felt when I got a big group dancing to my music I've really enjoyed meeting everyone that I have through my DJ business and have some really close friends because of it. Owning All Around Raleigh DJ Company has truly done things for me that I could not have imagined. I'm still working on that electric slide though! Today, we have a few DJs that work for us only if I can totally depend on them to provide the clients with impeccable personal service. We are looking forward to making superior and affordable DJ services from All Around Raleigh DJ Company available to everyone whether you need a wedding DJ, a party DJ or any other services.
I really enjoy volunteering and being able to offer great causes with great music and we do get involved in charities as often as we can. If you have a great cause, we would love to help you out with time and services.

We are so lucky to live here in Raleigh, NC. In the summertime it is hot, sunny, vibrant, energetic and fun. In recent years there has been an explosion in search for pool party DJs. We used Eric for our wedding ceremony and reception. We had some "different" requests and he hit every cue perfectly! Some obscure songs were recognized immediately by him. We cannot give Eric enough praise and gratitude. We have been to weddings in the past, and it is obvious how the DJ can either make or break the evening. Eric was the biggest reason all of our friends and family wouldn't get off the dance floor and really partied the night away. Everyone had so much fun and that is in large part due to him. Even still today people are telling us how great our DJ was. Eric was SO easy to work with, made us feel as special as possible, and really was more than perfect. Highly, Highly recommend.

Michael did an outstanding job as the DJ at our wedding reception. We spoke with him a couple of times before the day and he got a great feel for our music preferences. We heard all of our "must plays" and the night flowed very well! Michael was a pleasure to work with. He had a positive attitude during all of our interactions and was very responsive. Eric from All Around Raleigh DJ was the best DJ we could have imagined for our wedding reception! He did an awesome job understanding the type of music we wanted to play, and the song choices matched the flow of the reception perfectly. Our dance floor was packed the entire night, and he played the perfect combination of songs that appealed to our entire range of guests.
Later in the night, he even let my husband and I guest DJ at the turntables--it was a blast, and something we'll always remember! Eric was very thoughtful all night--my dad referenced a Blake Shelton song during his speech, and Eric noticed that small detail and played the song a few moments later! He was also an awesome emcee and helped with transitions throughout the reception. Every wedding reception needs a DJ like Eric--and it was true, we did need a bigger dance floor!

Having All around Raleigh DJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Eric Hodgden was our DJ and he did an amazing job. He was always willing to help and answer all of our questions we had during the planning of our wedding. He met with us a couple of times and followed up with emails fairly quickly. The day of the wedding, Eric did an incredible job by keeping everyone entertained with great music and announcements for our events in the reception.

Eric was the DJ for our wedding reception in August, and he was perfect! We had an amazing time, and he did such a great job throughout the evening. He was also super responsive prior to the wedding, during all of the planning process. Eric had everyone dancing all night long, and was great about handling requests from our guests, as well as respecting our 'must-play' and 'do-not-play' lists. Everyone had so much fun at our wedding, and we definitely attribute that to the fantastic DJ performance!
