Byrne and Harriet performed at my Mother In Law's 80th birthday. They arrived on time and performed all of the songs we requested. They are very talented and made the evening so special. It was worth every penny. I enjoyed every minute of the music.

We booked the Amalfi Duo for our ceremony at SF City Hall and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Harriet was in touch with me about what music I wanted as well as gave great suggestions for the pre-ceremony. Honestly, it was my favorite part of my wedding. The music was so beautiful. it really made my wedding feel so elegant, romantic and magical. My guests were extremely impressed. Book them!

We hired Starlite Strings to play at our SF City Hall wedding, and they were wonderful. We booked the Amalfi Duo (violin & guitar duo) based on the excellent samples from the Starlite Strings website, and they were perfect for our intimate ceremony of 25 people. The Amalfi Duo had a wide range of classical and contemporary songs in their repertoire, but we selected primarily classical music for our ceremony.

The Duo played beautifully, and they also dressed appropriately in formal wear for the ceremony. (They allow you to select the level of formality for how they should dress.) Everything flowed smoothly on the day of, and the transitions from song to ceremony, and vice versa, were flawless. Wedding days can be really chaotic, so it's nice to have one less thing to worry about.

Besides the music selection, which was done with the duo directly, all the other communication was done with Byrne, who was professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with via e-mail. We would gladly hire them again for future events, and would highly recommend them for weddings.

I worked with starlite strings for my wedding event. It was very beautiful and they did such a great jobs. Everyone commented how beautiful it was. Happy with their service! We had a string quartet from Starlite Strings provide music for our wedding ceremony and cocktail reception. We asked them to learn a piece for my wife to walk down the aisle to, and they did and it was perfect. The music at the cocktail reception got rave reviews as we asked them to play a mixture of classical and contemporary pieces. They were very talented, highly professional, and wonderful to listen to. An excellent experience!

Byrne was professional and communicated quickly to make sure we had perfect music for our ceremony. He is extremely talented and added to our ambiance with his solo violin performance. He played all our favorites- Canon in D, Air on the G String- Bach, and Vivaldi's Spring. Our music complimented the classical beauty of historical S.F. City Hall and Byrne was the man to make it happen!

I was beyond thrilled with Starlite Strings and how beautifully they played for our June wedding. My husband was a music major and can be picky when it comes to music. I found Starlite Strings online and was immediately hooked when I heard their version of La Vie en Rose. We had just one violin and an accordion and it was perfect! The accordion really gives the music that French flair.

Our guests loved the musicians so much they all started taking pictures with them! They are very professional, arrive on time and play for the length they're paid for. Technically, they are superb. I had a very short aisle to walk down and was worried that the song they were playing would hardly begin by the time I got to the aisle. But they timed it in a way that was beautiful.

We were SO lucky to have Starlite Strings play music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and first dance at our 10/22 wedding at SF City Hall. I can't even begin to tell you how beautifully they play; when I came into the venue before walking down the aisle, I got goose bumps from how unbelievably gorgeous the music was! My mother is from Austria, has studied and is incredibly knowledgeable of classical music, and is a symphony regular and even she was blown-away by the quality and beauty of Starlite Strings.

Also of importance, Harriet was a true pleasure to work with from my very first inquiry to my last email. She made all of my requests become a reality in a seamless and fluid way. From atypical ceremony music (Wonderwall and Sweet Child O' Mine) to accompanying my sister-in-law sing our first dance, Harriet was accommodating and kind through and through. I very highly recommend Starlite Strings to anyone seeking such services; they play absolutely beautiful music and are wonderful to work with. Enjoy!

We used Starlite Strings' Suavo Trio (cello, violin and guitar) for our wedding this past weekend. All of our interactions with Byrne prior to the wedding were courteous, professional and prompt. He also accommodated our last-minute request to add some short musical interludes during the service. We didn't ask Suavo to attend our rehearsal yet their performance during the ceremony was seamless and pitch-perfect. I'd highly recommend Starlite Strings.

Music for our wedding ceremony was very important to me. That being said, I reviewed demos from many string trios and quartets. Starlite Strings stood out from the crowd - not only does Starlite Strings provide exceptional musicians, but working with Byrne Newhart, the owner was a joy. He is extremely organized, helpful beyond words and professional.

I had a Catholic wedding, but wanted some non-traditional musical elements included. Byrne had arrangements of Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" & Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" done for our wedding. They were absolutely beautiful and elements I will never forget. There is an extra cost associated with having a musical arrangement made that is not currently in their repertoire - but it was worth it! Byrne also worked with our cantor and pianist for our ceremony to make sure all the musical elements flowed smoothly. I cannot say enough about Starlite Strings and would recommend them to anyone seeking high caliber musicians to play at their event.

I found Starlite Strings at the Four Seasons Wedding Faire. I knew before I had even met my husband that I wanted strings at my wedding if and when I ever got married. I had "Air for the G String" by Bach in mind for my processional. That piece of music totally moves me. Byrne and his wife along with celloist played at my wedding and to hear that piece of music play while waiting to walk down the isle was the most surreal moment for me.
