The reviews weren't kidding! I would give zero stars if it was possible! Thank goodness I read the reviews so I knew quickly enough that things were as bad as they seemed and I needed to go somewhere else. So disorganized with no one understanding where to stand in line to order balloons the people once he got up to the cash register where is where you actually order the balloons knew nothing about the balloons but they were the ones that you do the ordering through.

I did Curbside pickup. Within 2 minutes. They were outside with my product. and the gentleman was Friendly! So far so good!

This store is just ridiculous I went to buy a five balloons and they told me to wait for 4 hours to be blowup and the store was empty we were only two clients and at least five workers who just walked around doing nothing and no one wants to take my order For sure they have no idea how to do a good business and I think the manager must be kicked out from there

Rude cashier who never spoke a word to me because she continued to speak to a customer on the phone. Even stopped midway through ringing up my stuff to walk away and ask a coworker a question that the customer on the phone had.

I went into party city for just one balloon. They would not sell it to me because they said they were too busy. Balloons need to be ordered online in advance. That seems stupid. Party depot down the street had no problem and was cheaper!

Stopped in due to my wife co-hosting an up coming event. She was in need of supplies to finish making up gift bags. She needed the clear gift bags. After several failed attempts at other stores. She found what she was looking for and a few extra items.

My toddler & I stopped in Party City, Orland Park to get some last minute birthday decorations. The woman greeting us (I believe her name was Itzal?), was welcoming & friendly. She showed us exactly where a few items were located, offered certain details/deals/delivery options & made sure our balloon order was PERFECT. She even gave my little guy a free balloon, which he loved

So I had 3 small balloons to be filled. I was told it would take 2.5 hours to take. Now, I can understand if they were busy but they were completely empty this store and had three employees. One of their employees was just standing there doing nothing. Very disappointing.

Visited this location at 12:30pm and was told the earliest they could have my order of 2 balloons was 5pm. Is it that you have back to back orders? But if that's the case, I didn't see anyone fulfilling orders. Oh and did I mention that the store was also empty?

Why do they have already inflated ballons with a price tag if you can't buy them? Also, having to come back for ballons after 2 hours is ridiculous. Never had this happened at other Party City's. I am NOT coming back to this one in Springfield.

Customer service sucked. Was told I had to wait an hour for balloons to be blown up after standing and waiting for the associate to be free. I even explained that I didnt have time for that what i was looking for wasnt complicated. I spent time waiting for her to free, I was the last person in the store, I got frustrated and ended up going to the location in Mokena where the associates, Dave and Kelly, took care of me with no problem. It took Dave all of a few minutes to blew up the balloons I wanted, not sure why I couldnt get that at this location. Thank you Dave and Kelly at the Mokena location.

If you're in the customer service business and you don't want to deal with customers then FIND A NEW JOB. I walked in over an hour before closing and was told that I couldn't get four plain balloons blown up because the balloon counter closes at 8. It was 7:43. It would've taken her two minutes, if that, to blow up my balloons.

And the fact that she was rude and not at all welcoming just made it worse. I can take you telling me no but don't be rude when it's literally your job not to be. Jessica, the shift manager, might need to rethink her career choice.

Ghetto. Ghetto. Ghetto. Avoid by all means possible! Today I arrived at 10:00AM to purchase balloons for my daughters birthday and was instructed to return at 1:00PM because there was a 3 hour wait. I said no problem and returned at 1:00PM. Upon on arriving at 1:00PM the manger a heavy set black women told me I already told your daughter it is going to be another 30-40 minutes.

I explained to the lady that I live 20 minutes away and if I had to return again the balloons would be free. She said "ABSOLUTELY NOT". Avoid this place by all means necessary. This dose not represent a professional quality environment.

Oh god. there are no words for how TERRIBLE this place is. I'm not sure if anyone works there tbh, there was like one employee. I went to buy balloons but they were out of stock, like seriously, you're a party store, bad luck maybe? no, i came back the next day and THEY WERE STILL OUT! When I asked the manager, he just said "eh, it happens". Awful. Also the helium tank they sold me broke in barely 5 minutes. Never going back.

Came here to buy a few items for my son's birthday. My son wanted to get 1 balloon for his party and the wait was 2hours. My manager was not helpful at all and said he couldn't make an exception for one balloon. He even made a smart @ss comment about if we want we could buy the helium tank and blow it up ourselves. Not a way to treat your customer.

DONT GO HERE for balloons. It's ridiculous I'm writing a review about balloons! But the manager NEON or LEON. w.e his name is cause me to do it. I bought $6 worth of balloons at 2pm; the party is the next day at noon and the balloons were already on the floor. I asked if I can get them re-inflated they respond is I need to buy more. disappointing. apparently latex balloons last only a few hours. NO REP TOLD ME THIS, NO SIGNS ABOUT THIS.

I know is $6 but come on! Warn people. I called PARTY DEPOT on commerce st. they offer to blow them up for FREE! Even though I didn't buy them there. I'm switching to that store now.

Wow I came here to just get some balloons but it takes them 5 minutes to fill up 1 ballon with helium. I might as well blow them up myself with my mouth. All I heard was them laughing and giggling instead of hearing the helium inflator machine. She'd stop and walk for a second then go back.like do the employees need sometype of motivation? Is there manager on deck? I've worked retail and as a deck manager at another store but this is sad.

I can print out hiring fliers if y'all need too. It's a disaster of a store. The only positive thing out of this was the cashier who could ring other than that it was really sad.

I went to this store this afternoon. There was a lady with hot pink hair and a very young sweet girl. From the very second we stepped in the store the woman kept rolling her eyes and gave me dirty look. I don't know what his problem was! She was extremely rude and mean. One time I asked a question from her and she replied very short and grumpy! I hope the store find better staff. I've been there so many times and never had encountered such a rude and mean person.

Omg! I loved allll the staff. They were super helpful and polite. I live closer to the party city in calumet city but I'm willing to travel a little further for their selections, the staff, and the quality of there merchandise. Happy 40th birthday to my sister!

Y'all have moved on me, but I found you. I stopped in here on 9-12-2020 for something that I probably didn't need: candy. I also picked up some wrapping accessories. The corn was "candy corn." The store now is bigger and seems to have more of a selection of items. I found what I needed and was able to be on my way. It's close and convenient. I'll be back.

Best Party City I've been to EVER! Granted, is 9:00 and the store just opened but its clean, well stocked, organized and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This will be my go to from here on out. Note to self: Same day orders take minimum 2 hrs due to COVID-19 and high demand.

Very disappointed after placing a $60.00 order for birthday balloon for my daughter's birthday party today. Requested 'floating' balloons which were delivered yesterday PM and were on the ground by this AM. Completely useless. I called to ask them for replacements and was told that there was nothing they could do because balloons don't travel well in the delivery van and the heat. That information would've been helpful prior to placing the order. Plan to call the manager and/or customer to see if they will make it right.

Bad customer service. Was told I cannot change my balloon order time because they receive more orders during the day.this sounds as dumb as ever because I called 20 minutes after opening time and it's not like it's a holiday where they are bombarded with orders, I'd understand if that was the case. Ridiculous.

I know this is late, but to the person who had to fill my HUGE pink and gold balloon order back in April 2019 for my daughter's first birthday. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I know it was a big pain to fill 100 balloons and I tried to make it as easy as possible with a drawing and separating each bouquet into bags. Thank you so much, they turned out amazing and just what I wanted.

I went by at 1:45 in the afternoon. The doors were locked and no one answered the phone.

Great selection of party stuff but over priced. You can get similar things at the dollar store (e.g. balloons, themed invitations, decor, etc.). The markup is too much of a put-off to come back to this place.

As a whole, I'm not a fan of Party City. Their decor is absolutely garish and is in need of some serious updates. That being said, the customer service I received when shopping here a few weeks ago was absolutely superb. It was the eve of my daughter's first birthday party and I was walking around the store checking out the sprinkles and their new collection of pop-up trashcans (gamechanger btw!) when I realized I had misplaced my keys someplace.

I literally walked around the store 500x when I finally spoke to an associate who took time out of her day to help me look for my keys and even though they were not found told the other associates about my predicament and took down my contact information. I stopped in again later that day to see if they had turned up -- unfortunately no cigar that beings said the associates were also super nice about blowing up some balloons so I could see what their true color would look like with helium in it -- a thankless job for sure but I really appreciated it. Niceness goes a long way and I would definitely shop here again. By the way if anybody has seen my keys with a bright pink Hello Kitty house key and a Lego Robin (from Batman) keychain on it.please hit me up!

I came here twice now to pick up birthday balloons I pre-ordered over the phone. Both times the balloons were ready when I came to pick them up. The customer service is lackluster but I'm not expecting much from a Party City. It's an easy in and out process for me. As long as my order is accurate and they're not rude to me, I'm fine with this location.

Overall, they have what they are designed to have. But I think the associates are very unprofessional. One of the associate was cutting in front of me to hang up a sticker without even saying excuse me. Then the other two are unapproachable and talking about their evening plans and wild parties. Gladly I may have to come to this store once a year to buy my daughters party supply otherwise I will avoid it at any cost.
