Created in 1990, DJ-K Productions has grown into one of the most well-respected mobile DJ companies in Northern California. Music, and the way we listen to it, has changed a great deal over the last 30 years, but our commitment to client satisfaction has remained consistent. Please take a few minutes to poke around our site, and get to know us better. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

DJ-K, the company, was founded in 1990, but it's roots trace back much farther than that. Ken inherited his passion for music from his father and older brother, and by middle school, had amassed quite a collection of 45s. To mask his reluctance to ask girls to dance at school functions, he instead tried to figure out what his schoolmates wanted to dance to, and thus, a career was born!
All DJ-K DJs are insured for liability. We consider Bar and Bat Mitzvahs to be '2 Person' events; for these parties the DJ does bring an assistant. For all other events, unless specifically requested, the DJ does not bring an assistant. We do not arrange for potential clients to come watch us at events.
Our Basic Lights Package is designed for those who want to add some color and fun to their event. Rented separately, these lights could cost up to $225.00. You can add the Basic Lights Package to your event for only $150.00. Please Note: This package is only available with certain DJs. Please inquire regarding its availability.
Imagine turning off all the lights at your party, having everyone on the dance floor put on some white gloves, and illuminating the dance floor with not one, but two 400 watt black lights! It's a truly awesome experience, one that will delight you and your guests. The ultra-violet light highlights anything white, so all you'll see is a bunch of dancing hands!

We hired Keith Switzer to officiate our wedding earlier this year. This was the one thing about our wedding I'd change if I can do it over again. After speaking on the phone with him for over an hour prior to our wedding day deciding on the script to use, he still decided to just wing it on the day of the wedding. During my ceremony, I had to fight back the urge to punch him in the face.
He went on with his jokes that got no laughs, and continued to embarrass himself and drag on about his own marriage that absolutely no one cared about. Even before the ceremony, he decided to open the door to my wife's bridal suite (while she's getting ready with her bridesmaids) to see if he can get his check. Have some class dude. And next time, wear some shoes that don't look like they've been foraged from some abandoned coal mine. Avoid at all costs.

We found Ken after searching numerous DJ's for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. Ken was great. He was more like an MC/DJ as he kept the kids enngaged with lots of fun games as well as playing the top music for teens. Ken was ontime and very professional. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends and plan to use him again in a few years.
